Background

Project delivery was a follow up of activities carried out by Augustyn Świder Secondary Technical and Vocational School (ZSTZ) in Świętochłowice aimed at developing the educational offer addressed to its students and staff with the support of EU funds. For many years, ZSTZ has benefited from EU funds that have been allocated to organising additional traineeships for its learners both locally and abroad, improving professional competences, expanding professional qualifications and improving technical infrastructure. Participation in the project provided an opportunity to equip learners with knowledge and professional skills desired on the European labour market, encouraging then to be open-minded and cooperative. It responded to the need to improve the quality and attractiveness of vocational education and to adapt the educational system to the requirements of the labour market. ZSTZ has adequate staff and technical resources which ensure efficient and effective implementation of project activities. The delivery of international projects also contributes to the development of international cooperation with partner institutions as well as helps to build the organisational capacity of the institution.
