We wanted to promote better the European educational model, especially practical training, and to create suitable training places for pupils in the third grades of our school. The desire of our school to take part in the Erasmus + programme stems from the need to work with foreign partners in order to facilitate cultural exchange. Participation in the project would enable us to combat xenophobia, prejudice and stigmatisation of different ethnic groups. We wanted students to become aware of their attitudes and to shape them not only on the basis of their life in their country and on the basis of the opinions of their immediate surroundings. We wanted them to gain experience and cultural experience abroad in order to increase their motivation, learn and develop. We also wanted to introduce EU instruments for skills and qualifications – Europass, ECVET. By transferring best practices from abroad to schools, we wanted to improve school management and at the same time improve the quality of work by developing soft skills: group work, project management, work organisation, adaptation of curricula and teaching methods to the changing labour market. We presupposed the support of students in difficult financial and family circumstances.
