Background

The main premise for the implementation of this project was the awareness that the necessary condition for full and conscious participation in social life of every human being is not only education, but also acquired professional competences and well-developed key competences. Among them, in the European context, the following are particularly important: the ability to communicate in foreign languages, the ability to use modern information and communication technologies, the ability to use foreign-language information sources (especially in the library), the ability to cooperate in a team, also of an international nature, the ability to organize work and the work of your colleagues, and the ability to solve problems. As employees of an active library, we want (and should) study abroad, discuss European culture and heritage, create and draw on European models of non-formal education, so as to encourage the community to be active and innovate by example, to show that we can all have a positive influence on the development and future of our country and the European Union.
