Objectives

The idea to implement the project has matured in us since the beginning of 2017. Everything started with a fascination with the idea of the Tarnow Debate League, an event building a new culture of expression among young people in our city (Tarnów) using the formula of debating in the Oxford style. We decided to take up the challenge and explore the thought of Frank A. Clark in a similar formula. "We find peace among those who agree with us, but we develop among those who have different views." in close relation to issues related to culture and art. Why in relation to issues related to culture and art? For it is precisely on the basis of culture and art for centuries that the greatest number of innovations, visionaries and people who through their creativity and works set development paths, overcome schemes and conventions, broaden horizons for millions of people and force us to think and expand the sphere of sensitivity. The idea of debating in the Oxford formula (as a new innovative educational method) in which it is strongly forbidden to insult or ridicule speakers of the opposite side, is an unlimited field to create your own interpretation of the thoughts of Frank A. Clark. Taking on the "workshop" on the occasion of debating topics oscillating around culture and art will provide in our opinion an unlimited cognitive space. We are sure that this set guarantees that the project will be carried out at an unusually high level. Thanks to participation in the project, we intend to acquire knowledge, skills, qualifications and attitudes that will ensure our development and will result in future in private, educational, professional and many other places. We will learn to confront your opinions, look for new solutions, break patterns, respect your interlocutors, formulate thoughts, boldly express your views, "urge" in previously unknown places (we mean awareness) and also use culture and art as a tool to achieving social and educational goals
