"Keep in Touch" is a development project between schools around the Baltic Sea, which implements youth-exchanges in school-time and for free. The partner schools want to make such exchanges an integrated learning-tool and a part of curriculum for 7th and 8th grade. We are trying to develop learning-methods for schools, which are up-to-date interesting, challenging and motivating for our young people. Many schools today face situations where the traditional way of teaching is not working, and everybody is aware of the rapidly changing world, which forces us to educate our students with personal courage, open mind and flexibility, which we find that our exchanges will be supporting to a very high degree. The partner-schools are also very eager on developing their English and in general having the possibility of getting abroad. We focus on preparing our young people for life and for labor market. What is also important for us is educating students to be European citizens with respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and respect for human rights, including the rights of person's belonging to minorities. Our students get motivation for learning and exploration, achieve confidence in social situations and develop personal skills from working in groups with young people from other countries and from speaking English in front of a larger group of people.
