With our Youth Exchange, we want to achieve improvement of personal, social and emotional development of our young people. With Practical workshop on how to organize raising-tolerance events, we want to give young people powerful tool, that they can easily use at home - if they want to improve sense of “tolerance” in their community, if they want to bring their ideas to public attention, if they want to make other young people more aware about their potential of decision- making. For team-leaders and youth workers it is also good exchange of good practices and research of creative approach to youth empowerment. Young people will learn on organization of real event and also from each other – how to show people advantages and beauty of diversity; create inclusive mindsets naturally – for example through common experience of art or sport – together making music, creating choreography, painting the mural or playing football. Skills and experience on event management is universal and very useful, since it can be used successfully in solving many important social issues – e.g. involvement of young people with disabilities and organization of mixed-ability events can significantly improve “inclusion of disabled youth” or involvement of immigrants and organization of integration events for local communities, can stop discrimination behavior and hate speech towards foreigners. From the other side skills on event management will improve young people employability and increase their self-confidence. By empowering our young people with such a great experience and knowledge and making them aware how many positive changes they can make by organizing events, which are addressing different social issues - we unlock potential of young people and their capacity to change negative attitudes and build inclusive society free from discrimination, with equal rights and opportunities. Therefore, the main achievement of our project is to empower young people to take initiative and participate in life of their district, city or village, as well as have their say in such important critical issues as discrimination, hate speech or school bulling – by organizing /co-organizing raising-tolerance events.
