The future of Europe depends on its young generation. People who are just about to enter adulthood soon be the ones deciding and shaping the future of the continent - by voting, by promoting certain values, and by being political and cultural leaders. For some of the young people this is an exciting perspective, for others yet it is intimidating, but undoubtly for all of them it is connected to paramount responsibility. Unfortunately, many of young people are frightened to actually take this responsibility and act, create, and get involved. This is lack of involvement is especially valid among people with fewer opportunities - those living in deprived areas, having learning difficulties, facing social obstacles. They are already at risk of discrimination, they often feel left out by the society, and many of them are convinced that there is nothing they can do to change their situation. In result, they grow more passive and dependent on state support, but also - because they are feel so neglected - they also are more prone to develop radical, or violent attitudes. The objectives of the project are: - to equip youth workers and leaders with proper methodologies that will increase their professional capacities as for working with youth at risk - increasing young people's (partner organizations' beneficiaries) sense of initiative and supporting them in brining the change that suits their real needs - developing and distributing educational materials (tool kit) that will help different stakeholders understand what youth activism is and how to support it, especially in the context of young people at risk - creating a network of a like-minded individuals and organizations ready to cooperate on further projects that aim at making European societies (with a special focus on the EaP) more cohesive and less radical
