Objectives

In connection with the decrease in the involvement of young people in social and voluntary activities observed by us, we decided to implement a training course aimed at providing youth workers with practical knowledge and tools that they can use to increase engagement with young people. The knowledge and practice acquired during the training will be related to the notion of outdoor education, the activity of which focuses on personal development, undertaking challenges and improving communication and trust while working in a group. The effects achieved by using the outdoor method - learning through experience - are more effective than using formal learning methods. This is due to the fact that outdoor education focuses more on the learning process and not on its results. In addition, the observation and reflection used when working with the OE allow you to draw permanent conclusions that affect the subsequent improvement of work. The project will indirectly increase the involvement of young people in the life of the organizations in which they operate, through the introduction of new, more attractive methods of non-formal learning. The participants of the training will increase their competences and skills that they will later be able to use in many aspects of their lives.
