The "Green Up" project is a result of the collaboration of young people from Chrzescijanska Sluzba Charytatywna Oddzial Dolnoslaski (Poland), Tunisian Scout (Tunisia), Young Biologists Association (Georgia), LUNEnuove Cooperativa Sociale (Italy), Udhëtim i Lirë - Liberi di Viaggiare (Albania), Narandzasti Serbia). By implementing this project, we want to answer the needs of young people from our organizations and also promote awareness of the importance of the protection of the natural environment. The project is a direct continuation of our previous "Many Countries, One Nature" Erasmus+ project. After the in depth analysis of the needs of our participants, after their brainstorming and brainstorming with the representatives of the partner organizations, we agreed that our "Green Up" project will have the following main objectices: 1) Equipping the young people in competences which will help them in promoting the protection of natural environment: The participants of the Green Up project feel a strong need to gain more knowledge which will help them in promoting the protection of natural environment among their peers and in their local communities. During our previous MCON project they got to know about the envrionmental problems, but they feel they do not know how to transfer this knowledge further. Most importatly, they feel powereless cause they do not know how to convince people not only to listen to them, but how to convince the people (their parents, their peers) to really change their behaviour. 2) Increasing the civic responsibility towards nature attitude in young people around the partner organizations: The young people want to take actions to protect the nature environment and also, they want to increase this feeling of civic responsibility in the peers in their schools, in their families and in their local surroundings. By the Green Up project, we want to empower them to do so. 3) Promoting the attitudes of social inclusion, especially the inclusion of young people with disabilities: The 4 young participants with disabilities of our Green Up project want to show to the world and prove to themselves and their families that they too can act to protect nature. What is more, by including the people from disadvantaged backgrounds and people with disabilities in our project, we want to bring the attention to the fact that they need to be empowered to act, too. 4) Raising awareness about Earth pollution and giving the young people a space to discuss the real solutions: The participants want to discuss the "real solutions" for the Earth problems, they want to have space to discuss it in an international setting. They want to brainstorm the best methods of how to help the Earth. What is more, we want to raise the environmental awareness not only among the participants of the project, but in the broader setting of all the local communities of the participating organizations. This is why the project will have an expanded follow-up phase, with many workshops and local actions.
