The project will take place on 29.11 - 06.12.2019 in Olsztyn with 30 people, including young people with fewer opportunities aged 17-23. The main goal of the project is: - developing imagination and creative thinking through games; - showing alternative methods of spending free time in different countries, and in particular draw attention to the possibilities of its creative use; - developing the sense of initiative in young people; - strengthening intergenerational bonds - conducting an interview with parents and grandparents about games and activities from their childhood; - intercultural education - deepening knowledge of the culture, art and customs of other countries; - breaking language and cultural barriers; - encouraging people to interact with other people (developing social skills). We chose games as the subject of the exchange because they have a big impact on people: they develop mind, memory, concentration, reflexes, perception, imagination, and also have a good effect on integration and contact with other people. By participating in the project, we will acquire new skills and competences that we will be able to use in the future. We want to get to know different games and games from partner countries that were known in the old days and those that are popular today. After that we will work in international groups to create a new games, we will develop new games by us. New games will be presented and tested by children from the Municipal Kindergarten No. 20 and young people from the Primary School in Bartąg. In order to disseminate our results, we will create a brochure with new games in English and in each language of partner countries. Game brochures will be disseminated to the local community in Olsztyn, Elbląg (in kindergartens, schools, libraries, etc.) and in OHP units as well as in partner countries. Thanks to the project, we want to develop creative thinking in us. We want to feel that we all create something new, innovative, original and useful for all of Europe. Through the implementation of the project, we want to learn to work in international groups, develop their creativity, critical thinking and social competences. During the exchange, our self-esteem and self-confidence will increase, we will become more open to others. We also want to learn about the new cultures and language of partner countries, overcome stereotypes and all language and cultural barriers. By implementing an international project, we want to be a good example for others.
