Objectives

The main objective of the "Process of changes" project is the development of competences, knowledge and skills in the field of cooperation with volunteers, with an emphasis on a full understanding of the group process among 24 people participating in the proposed training. Youth workers participating in the project come from 8 countries - Poland, Malta, Slovakia, Greece, Macedonia, Spain, Italy and Romania. Thanks to participation in the training, they will develop tools and broaden their knowledge which will enable them to: broaden their understanding of the importance of the group process in managing a group of volunteers; ability to recognize the stage of development on which the group is located and to take actions adequate to this stage; deeper reflection on the meaning of understanding what a group process is and how it reflects in everyday work with volunteers. All this is aimed at acquiring the competences that the volunteer team is using and will support their development. The long-term goal of the training is to create an innovative long-term support model for volunteer coordinators and organizations cooperating with volunteers. An important and measurable product that will be developed will be a publication containing substantive information about the group process, examples of tools for diagnosing this process as well as steps to be taken depending on the stage of group development. It will be disseminated in accordance with the assumptions described in the project.   The idea of training was born of real needs that can be observed among organizations involved in volunteer work - regardless of experience, organizational culture or country, all at a much greater degree than before, encountering difficulties associated with frequent resignation or low involvement of volunteers to volunteer work. Together with partner organizations, we want to start a joint work that will allow us to effectively deal with these difficulties. The training will take place at the turn of October and November in a small town near Łódź. This selection of locations is to provide participants with a space where they can focus on active participation in training, cutting off from other stimuli. The training will cover 8 business days and 2 days of travel. The coaching team will consist of two people - from Poland and Spain, which will guarantee a variety of experiences and proposed tools. The training will be based on methods and techniques of non-formal education, with a strong emphasis on self-reflection and work on the experience of participants and the case study method. Proper implementation of the project from the logistics side will ensure great experience of partner organizations in the implementation of similar activities and a clear division of tasks. Partner organizations participating in the project are not accidental, they have extensive experience of working with volunteers and cooperation with other partners in the project. Thanks to such selection of the organization, high involvement of participants and long-term impact of the project on the environment in which they work will be ensured.
