It all started five years ago, when, as an informal group of young people, we decided to organize our first project: "Following in the footsteps of human rights, we get to know the past and change the present";. The subject matter of the project allowed us to learn a lot of new things. Since then, we have been quite strongly involved in activities related to citizenship and human rights. Together with the partners we have met in previous projects, we have come to the conclusion that it is necessary for us to explore this subject in depth. On a specially established group concerning the subject matter of the project we gathered together with our partners and during our long conversations we decided to organize a project with a heavy subject matter there. We have decided to organise an international project involving young people from many countries, which will allow us to look at the problem from different perspectives and broaden our horizons of thinking and understanding of human rights issues. During many discussions with our partners, they also emphasized the topic of human rights as a topic worth exploring, as well as a topic which is often raised by young people working in these organizations. That is why we decided to take the initiative of organizing an international educational project on human rights. Our main goals are: Deepening into the culture and history of the partner countries Getting to grips with the experience of social change as a result of accession to the European Union Drawing attention to how human rights are perceived in partner countries Demonstrating the dangers that can result from human rights violations Reflection on the meaning of human rights at the personal and social level In-depth knowledge of the Holocaust Exploring the impact of the Second World War on human rights Understanding the term "hate speech"; and its impact on society Getting to know the history of human rights creation in partner countries Tolerance - in relation to specific examples from partner countries Development of English language skills Development of soft skills Active participation of young people We create the project together with people from : Poland, Slovenia, Italy, Bulgaria, Romania, Lithuania and Hungary.
