We applied for the SAFER 55+ project because our goal, as the leading organization, was to expand and develop the competences of educators and other employees of our organization and the organizations of our partners who are educational institutions for seniors. We assumed that through the exchange of knowledge, experience and attitudes between educators, we would lead to an increase in the number of known and used methods, tools, approaches and solutions in working with seniors. As a consequence, it was supposed to lead to an improvement in the quality of education in our organizations. In the SAFER 55+ project, we intended to focus on the safety of seniors over 55 years. Our goal was in particular areas related to cybersecurity, self-defense skills and the ability to deal with legal and official documents. We wanted the activities of the project to also include counteracting social exclusion of the over 55 age group. Our goal was also to include elements of intergenerational cooperation in the project. The project “Competent trainer - safe senior. Exchange of good practices for effective education of adults 55+” responded to the needs of educators and seniors aged over 55 from five organizations participating in the project.
