Our objectives are: 1. Active involvement of teachers in the issue of violence, harassment and discrimination in schools 2. Identify a common strategy to combat violence 3. Promote a sense of respect and tolerance 4. Encourage the inclusion of pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds 5. Create the context for equality between students 6. Participants The project targets two target groups: The one of teachers who are concerned with issues of violence and harassment. They will share experiences, share their practices on the subject, analyze similarities, differences, identify good practices they will apply in their own schools. The second target group is pupils whose negative attitude we want to change. The objective will be to raise awareness of the causes and effects of violence and discrimination. They will be persuaded to respect, accept and create a pacifist atmosphere in schools. We will organize 5 LTTAs with a total of 120 students and at least 50 teachers. Effect Participating in this project will be a real benefit to our institutions. We want the number of violent incidents among pupils to be considerably reduced due to their conscious involvement. We hope for immediate awareness of them. We will involve as many students as possible so that they transfer their acquired knowledge to other students. All participants will better understand the reality of their country compared to other European countries and will develop a sense of European identity, continuing cooperation in online projects after the completion of this project.
Schools create an environment for personal development where everyone must feel safe. Discrimination, harassment and aggression are phenomena commonly present in schools, although institutions, using the existing tools and regulations, try to prevent broadly understood violence and discrimination and ensure the safety of all participants in school life. In order to reduce the number of cases of violence, aggression and discrimination, all partner schools that took part in the project "NO to Violence and Discrimination" took steps to develop common methods to counteract these undesirable phenomena. The schools shared their experiences, good practices, analysed the similarities and differences, and thus minimized the phenomena of violence and discrimination in their environment. Thanks to participation in the project, the following goals were achieved: 1. Teachers were actively involved in the issues of violence, harassment and discrimination in schools 2. We have defined common strategies to combat violence 3. We promoted respect and tolerance 4. We encouraged the inclusion of students from disadvantaged backgrounds 5. We created a context for equality between students 6. We encouraged self-expression and creativity 7. We developed communication, organizational and project coordination skills. Participants The project was aimed at two target groups: The first were teachers dealing with issues of violence and harassment. They shared their experiences, analyzed the similarities, differences, and identified good practices that were adopted in the partner schools. - eg "Blue Box" - a box where students can anonymously report cases of violence and discrimination in their schools. The second target group were students. The aim of the project activities was to raise awareness of the causes and effects of violence and discrimination. By participating in workshops, the students became convinced that there is value in diversity; we helped to understand and implement such values as respect and acceptance in order to create a friendly atmosphere in our schools. Despite the pandemic, all planned mobility was completed. About 120 students and 50 teachers took part in five international visits. These trips, despite the fact that they concerned violence and discrimination, were divided thematically: C1 in Turkey on discrimination and violence in schools - common and different aspects C2 in Greece on stereotypical thinking and discrimination C3 in Poland on the phenomena of violence C4 in Italy on bullying C5 in Romania on equality. Effects: a. A report on violence and discrimination in five partner schools was prepared. The report was based on a questionnaire survey of approximately 500 people from 5 partner countries; b. Erasmus Callendar was prepared, which included the most important project events; c. An account with posts, photos and videos has been created on Facebook. d. Erasmus Magazine Vol. 1-5 with travel reports was created; e. A Project Page for eTwinning was created. Project participants increased their awareness of the concept of equality, became more open to differences, increased respect and tolerance towards others, developed their English communication skills, interpersonal relations through direct collaboration between partner teams and time sharing in host families (TR). In addition, participants became more aware of cultural differences, more prepared to deal with aggression and violence. Long-term effects: Participation in the project "NO to Violence and Discrimination" was a real benefit for our schools. The number of incidents related to hate and all forms of discrimination has been reduced. We tried to involve as many students as possible through activities promoting the project - Erasmus Awereness Days classes, photo exhibitions, meetings with participants of the trips, live with participants during the Open Days of the school or posting multimedia materials on the schools' website. Thanks to participation in the project, teachers: - developed their communication, organizational and language skills; in the field of EU project management, - better deal with the problems of violence and discrimination at the institutional level, - benefited from intercultural exchange, participated in classes during trips, observed solutions for counteracting violence and discrimination in partner countries and had the opportunity to participate in numerous creative discussions with "professional" colleagues. All participants of international trips have a better understanding of the reality of their country compared to other European countries, they have developed a sense of European identity, despite the end of the project, its participants are in constant contact.
