The AEV intended to respond to the needs felt within the scope of the gradual and sustained improvement of the school results and the quality of educational action and, also, to continue its internationalisation. In this sense, the project focused on the following areas: a) Management and leadership; b) Quality of practices and methodologies, namely the areas of Inclusive School, AFC (Autonomy and Curricular Flexibility) and the innovative projects implemented in AEV, such as Probotics); c) Development of proficiency in foreign languages; d) Integration of new technologies in the learning process in a safe way. In short, this project aimed to: - improve the competences of professionals to respond to the individual needs of students; - improve the competences in management; - involve and commit professionals in their personal development; - articulate knowledge and share pedagogical practices; - refine and consolidate linguistic and cultural knowledge acquired in a real context; - develop the international dimension of the AEV; - envisage new Erasmus projects; - promote the AEV as an education and training centre of excellence and reference in the region.
The Agrupamento de Escolas de Valongo (AEV), over time, has been stimulating a culture of lifelong learning, diversifying the staff in-service training and, always embracing new challenges regarding education. The AEV also intends to continue its internationalisation and to respond to the needs felt by staff and students, especially with regard to the following issues: a. Management and leadership; b. Quality of practices and methodologies, mainly in the areas of Inclusive School, AFC (Autonomy and Curricular Flexibility) and other innovative projects implemented in the AEV, such as Probotics); c. Development of proficiency in foreign languages; d. Integration of new technologies in the learning process in a safe way. The objective of this project was to give the possibility to the AEV staff to participate in training activities that would allow a permanent updating and acquisition/mobilisation of competencies/knowledge of the professionals involved in teaching/learning, in order to articulate that requalification with the new training demands, to improve the performance of the institution and to respond to the needs of the students’ needs.
