With this project we wanted to improve students' motivation in the classroom, improve their results in mathematics and foreign languages, increase teachers' knowledge of other teaching systems, improve their computer skills and more innovative and motivating teaching methodologies.
The Agrupamento de Escolas Martinho Árias applied for this project because it felt that its teachers needed to improve their computer skills, update their knowledge on best strategies to motivate students in the classroom and, consequently, improve students’ knowledge in the various subjects they teach. Another reason that led to the creation of this project was the need felt by the board of the Agrupamento to internationalize the institution, since there were no projects that involved the physical travel of teachers for training abroad.
