According to the school’s priority intervention axes, it is intended to develop three key areas: “School failure”, “Inclusion of special needs students and integration of students from foreign countries” and “Internationalization of the School”. It stands out, as major objectives : -Develop professional competences by means of the acquisition of pedagogical practices that lead to school success through an active and inclusive education; -Improve the qualifications in the promotion of student-centered, inclusive and task based learning; -Acquire professional skills that improve the relationship between the school/ community, facilitating the integration of students, taking advantage of the cultural diversity richness in order to get a complete educational and social integration; -Value the European dimension through its internationalization and development of transnational projects.
When applying for this project, it was taken into account the importance of the international/ European dimension and the institution's latest Erasmus projects impact on the community, resulting in important strategic partnerships with foreign institutions, those ESC has been cooperating with, enabling the joint development of these institutions, those who work to provide a quality educational service, as well as those who benefit from it. It was intended to continue the internalization quality and sustainable plan that would respond to the specific needs of the human resources and students of this institution, and would allow for the updating, improvement and deepening of knowledge, and personal and professional skills of the entire educational community at a European level. The needs of the institution were set based on the analysis of the internal and external evaluation, the Priority Intervention Educational Territories multi-year improvement plan and the SWOT analysis. The major needs detected were the high level of failure, inappropriate behaviour/ indiscipline, high rates of absenteeism and the low completion rates on the vocational courses.
