The submission of this application occured in the expectation of receiving training in key areas, needed to achieve the goals established in our Educational Project and in our European Development Plan. After diagnosing the strong and weak areas of our school, and reflecting on what we set out to achieve, the following goals were established: 1. Investing in pedagogical innovative methods to improve learning; 2. Improving transition rates; 3. Increasing the quality of educational success. Considering the extent of the operationalization of these goals, the training of teaching staff was considered a priority, in particular specific training in these dimensions, focusing on curricular flexibility, carrying out eTwinning projects, promoting activities leading to a more inclusive school and observing other practices and methodologies at European level. All projects and dynamics were carried out, using multidisciplinary and comprehensive work teams. The title of our project, "+ pupil, - teacher = more success" is representative of what we set out to achieve: using teaching practice in which students are heard, involved and led to participate in their educational and personal improvement.
Our School has been progressively embracing new projects, with the aim of staying at the forefront in teaching and learning, making training and improving the implementation of new methodologies in teaching practice. It was with this background that we applied for this Erasmus+ KA1 project, in order to provide training to the teachers of our school, as well as having the opportunity of observing other European schools with good practices and results in this area, providing the teachers with essential tools for the development of the teaching practice. The European dimension, knowledge of other realities and teaching practices at European level were other reasons that led us to apply, because we wanted to learn from the observation of other realities, in particular those considered to have good practices, which would allow us to improve our own practice, always with the goal of improving the educational achievement of our pupils. This project was complemented with the articulation with other European partners, through participation in an Erasmus+ KA2 project with France, Italy and Spain.
