The main goals of this project were: Provide moments for participants to get to know and contact with the principles and rules that guarantee inclusion, as a process that aims to respond to the diversity of needs and potential of each and every student. To develop professional skills in participants and post-mobility beneficiaries, through the acquisition of pedagogical practices from other transnational realities leading to inclusive, active teaching and academic success; To develop professional skills in the participants in the mobilities and in the beneficiaries after the mobilities, aimed at improving the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of other education and training actors, namely those holding coordination positions; To train teacher trainers for new methodologies of collaborative work, based on communities of practice, in sharing activities, in the different Schools, assuming a holistic perspective of education; To share with our educational communities practices that contribute to the enrichment of an inclusive school, promoting better learning for all, with autonomy for curricular development adapted to specific contexts and students' needs; To develop in the associated schools a dynamic and interactive reflection on local practices and innovative and change-inducing strategies that promote the improvement of the quality of teaching, learning and school results; To promote an inclusive school where each and every student finds answers that enable them to acquire a level of education and training that facilitates their full social inclusion.
The CFAE Centro Oeste contemplates in its Mission Guidelines (Carta de Missão) the fulfilment of an European oriented project and the development of collaborative work in a network where the mobility of educational intermediate leaders assumes a top strategic priority. In an attempt to bring the associated schools of CFAE Centro-Oeste closer to European educational practices, we understand that, through education and work with students (young people, future citizens), it is possible to promote common European values, foster social integration, improve intercultural understanding and a sense of belonging to communities. The emergence of the implementation of the Law Decree nº 54/2018, on Inclusive Education, has triggered a set of challenges to Portuguese Teachers, which requires an urgent training intervention with the Special Education Coordinators of all associated Schools. We defined as a priority action the training of coordinators of Special Education and coordinators of multidisciplinary teams supporting inclusive education with a profile adapted to their ability to intervene in a school context, their availability and willingness to live and participate in European mobility projects, contacting with good practices experienced and consolidated in European schools, in the fields of inclusive education, special education, working with students with SEN, citizenship and social environment. It is intended to induce a reflective profile and to receive reinforcement for improvement and professional progression, through the improvement of professional and personal competences of education professionals with responsibilities at the middle management level; and, within the scope of Special Education, at the level of contents, methods and tools for teaching and training, enhancing and promoting the development of essential abilities and skills.
