Objectives

FCT carried out on a European scale provided a greater opportunity for employability and openness in the labor market on a European scale. Students with this mobility have acquired greater autonomy and creativity, as well as responsibility and the ability to work as a team in a perspective of openness to change, cultural diversity and the exercise of active citizenship. The skills and qualifications acquired will undoubtedly bring recognition of qualifications and, consequently, contribute to the encouragement of colleagues to participate in European projects as well as to encourage students to improve school results, as well as to improve their attendance in a reducing the dropout rate. The paceira company has always promoted the acquisition of skills in the technical, technological, organizational and relational domains, generating a positive dynamic with the context of training at the European level, since the contact with more modern and developed technologies and techniques has come to provide the acquisition of knowledge and skills inherent to this area of training and gave students the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the course.

Background

The purpose of this mobility was to foster a pedagogical dynamic between students and teachers and companies, promoting school success and preventing the risk of early school leaving. In relation to this project, it was intended to give young people in vocational education an education / training opportunity in a European work context, providing them with the possibility of undertaking a professional internship in a country of European community (Ireland). The school dropout rate for this class was high. Attendance was a constant problem throughout the course and learning difficulties in general subjects were always evident, as can be seen in the school's educational project and in the agendas and minutes of the evaluation meetings. However, students show good results in the area of technical subjects. Despite this, it has been difficult to find internships for all students in the class, with around 2 students or 3 students per company, which has hampered their opportunity to learn in the workplace. Évora, is a small city and there are fewer and fewer companies available, to carry out FCT in the area of Audiovisuals and computer programming.
