The objectives of the “ETAP Vale+ Travel, Learn Languages in Europe” project were: • Increase ETAP's ability to prepare its students for the job market and professional growth •Promote the learning of languages and cultures as a passport to citizenship and the world of work •Endowing ETAP students and staff with opportunities and tools for personal fulfillment •Strengthen ETAP's role as a link to Europe and the world of work
The Technological, Artistic and Professional School of Pombal (ETAP), founded in 1989, was the first professional education school in Portugal and currently has a training offer in level 4 professional courses, CEF type 2 and 3 courses and short training courses for adults. ETAP's action is guided by approximation and integration with the surrounding environment, namely the productive and business fabric that participates in the definition of training and more innovative and effective training solutions. The “ETAP VALE + Travel, Learn Languages in Europe” project was another step on the way to achieving ETAP's European Development Plan, whose goals were: to enhance the employability and potential for professional progression of trainees; make ETAP an active part of European and international reality and dynamics; strengthen ETAP's presence on the regional scene and in vocational training; improve the team's technical, pedagogical and initiative skills; and improve the professional training provided and its public recognition.
