With this project, we pursue the following objectives: 1) Reinforce the quality of the training provided and consolidate the school's educational project; 2) Reinforce the professional and personal skills of the staff and enable them to implement pedagogical innovation models; 3) Obtain recognition of the quality of ETAP's pedagogical work among peers and external stakeholders (regional and national level); 4) Establish new partnerships with companies and schools for a collaborative construction of knowledge, sharing of experiences and incorporation of good practices; 5) Respond to the region's needs in terms of training skilled labor in key sectors; 6) Give students the opportunity to live real experiences of working abroad, improving their employability and their future career expectations; 7) Increase students' interest in learning foreign languages; 8) Decrease rates of absenteeism, dropout and school failure (motivated and goal-oriented students do not give up); 9) Reduce the multicultural shock of beneficiary students in a European context; 10) Consolidate and develop the soft skills of the ETAP student's profile in Portugal and abroad.
Coopetape - Cooperativa de Ensino, CRL, owner of ETAP Escola Profissional, is applying for this project to respond to a set of needs identified in the school's internationalization strategy. ETAP has been developing professional courses for young people since 1989 and, since the first years of activity, has considered it fundamental and a priority to provide its students with practical training experiences in the context of working abroad. This practice has taken root over the years and is one of the reasons why students want to join the school's courses. On the other hand, the demand for students from the school from national and international companies, either for internships or for job offers, is also the result of the school being a beneficiary entity of this type of projects, in a continuous way over the years. ERASMUS is already a hallmark of ETAP. It was also the school's objective, through this project, to find international partners that would enable the sharing of innovative pedagogical methods, as well as the identification of new technologies used in the training process, adding value to the educational project of the school "Odisseia ETAP 2030" and increasing the qualification of his staff.
