Countries: PT · Grant: €206,717.3

Objectives

The project´s objectives, according to Epralima's Internationalization Strategy, were to enhance knowledge and technical skills in the different training fields and improve the professional profile of the participants; to adopt pedagogical, curricular and extracurricular strategies to prevent student dropouts and improve students´ academic success. The participants also developed partnership work, on an international geographical platform, increasing and diversifying the partners network considering the following: the exchange and sharing of good practices, cooperation for the creation of innovation in VET and carrying out mobility for the purpose of staff and students learning and training. It was also the project's objective to develop new networking methodologies, namely within the context of the new digital era, etc., considering the increasingly efficient management of European and national projects. We can say that EPRALIMA has increased the school's performance in national and community scales, participating in projects in the fields of education and training, aggregating resources and articulating the intervention of different actors.

Background

EPRALIMA applied for this project because the development and participation in Erasmus+ programmes complies with the treatment of the European Dimension of Education and the development of European citizenship (encourages and involves students in the European construction project) contributing to the identification of European values. In addition, students acquire a vision and a versatile attitude in their professional area, which can expand the range of future job choices, these being the main catalysts that boost the transition to work-life, as well as future professional performance. Epralima has increasingly acquired more quality in its intervention as a result of permanent experimentation, transfer, and dissemination of innovation, generating a multiplier effect and an excellent instrument for the “Europeanization” of the school. Therefore, mobility projects have proved to be fundamental for: the development of intercultural competences, active spirit in favour of European citizenship, tolerance towards other people and cultures and the development of linguistic competences, surpassing the value of the development of competences related to technical/professional components.
