Objectives

In addition to the internationalisation of Forave mentioned in the previous point, we intended, with the implementation of this project, that the participants would acquire greater enrichment of their cultural and professional preparation, as well as foster understanding, group spirit, initiative and tolerance. Such measures would also reinforce the quality and the access to professional training in the European labour market and upgrade and improve their skills, so that they are more easily able to understand the different technological and organisational realities and the labour world that awaits them. Through contact between teachers of technical areas and companies this project was also aimed at the acquisition of new knowledge, the development of innovative practices in the field of vocational training and to raise their availability for the improvement of the quality of those same educational practices and vocational training. It also allowed, by means of the contacts obtained, to establish stable and lasting partnerships.

Background

In the Educational Project Development Programme, a support tool for planning and implementing improvements in the school, whose development and sustainability mobilises the educational community and its resources, there is a European development plan, with specific actions that meet the proposed objectives of internationalisation of the school. This internationalisation also comes in response both to the city council which, through various initiatives, has been seeking to provide for and stimulate agents to open their doors to the global world (project Made In), and to companies in this region that, many being in a process of internationalisation themselves, turn to the school for human resources that can respond to this requirement. As such, the participation in several Erasmus+ projects in the foundation of a new European association of technical schools (INNOTECS) and the partnership with the Euro School Net 2000, has sought to create conditions for this internationalization to happen and for teachers and students to be able to gain a set of skills and characteristics that allow them to be agents of change in an increasingly global world.
