The training course "Hire Me Online" is the initiative of ARTE.M - Associação cultural e artística na Madeira (Funchal, Portugal) which aims at improving the competencies of youth associations across Europe to help their target groups to become more employable at the online job market. The training course aims to improve the following competencies: Better understand the influence of current technologies on the concept of workplace, the development of remote work, employment trends, and the role of NGOs in supporting their target groups in improving their career prospects; Possess practical skills regarding the preparatory steps for online employment; The participants are also expected to promote the idea of continuous learning, especially such as massive open online courses (MOOC), expert bloggers and other online sources. The participants will acquire the basic skills of online communication, remote conflict handling, remote teamwork, specifically in asynchronous teams, intercultural competence, time management, self-motivation etc. We expect that at the local and regional level of the participating organizations, the training will attract a lot of attention to the idea of remote employment, online career building and continuous learning and improving one’s skills in accordance with the requirements of the global technological advances. We also expect that participation of the non-profitable associations in this movement will strengthen their image and credibility as those who respond to modern challenges and support young people in their career building and generally contribute to the development of the region. This project will also enhance the cooperation between the organizations on the European level.
