What we want with the implementation of the project is to transform the social reality of young people with physical, mental and/or sensorial disabilities who, due to the processes of social exclusion, become increasingly rejected, discriminated, non-participatory and not relational. Thus, WAD – YE project intends to be the means to promote a new reality, based on social inclusion, diversity and interculturality and equal opportunities for all young people, without limitation associated with their condition. Based on the social problem of severe social exclusion of young people with disabilities (physical, mental and/or sensorial) due to the absence of inclusive opportunities, diversity and interculturality, there is a need to create inclusive, participatory and promoting diversity and intercultural opportunities for young people with disabilities, through physical activities. This is a global problem with importance in today's society due to the serious consequences that it entails at various levels. The consequences are immense and the responses have not yet succeeded in promoting the change and transformation of the reality of these young people (and of all those who take them as an example). OBJECTIVES Based on the problem and the related needs, we defined as project objectives: - Promotion of the social inclusion of young people with physical, mental and/or sensorial disabilities; - Promotion of diversity and interculturality; - Promotion of equal access to inclusive and participatory opportunities; - Promotion of an active participation in the society of young people with physical, mental and/or sensorial disabilities; - Promotion of the development of skills and learning with resources to inclusive, participatory and voluntary methodologies such as non-formal education; - Active contribution in the definition of the personal and social identity of the young people with physical, mental and/or sensorial disabilities; - Appreciation of physical activities as motor of social inclusion of the young people with physical, mental and/or sensorial disabilities; - Dissemination of results for the continuous generation of social impacts and, consequently, for the transformation of social reality.
