Background

The concern of our school is to train pupils for whom creativity and critical thinking, effective relationship and communication, tolerance and acceptance of diversity represent assumed educational values. As a result, our school is interested in the quality of educational services offered, and this can be achieved through the professional development of teaching staff. The key areas that the school wanted to improve through this project were: creativity in teaching, with the development of students' critical thinking, in order to be able to adapt to the new socio-economic transformations, as well as the adaptation of the teaching approach of the school staff in order to promote the social inclusion of students, their education for accepting diversity, for tolerance, equality, gender balance and non-discrimination, as well as anti-bullying education. It was desired to develop the key competences of the students, but also of the teaching staff, among them, we mention: learning to learn, multilingualism, interculturality, social and civic competences. This project addressed the need to increase the motivation for learning of the school's students, by improving the teaching skills of the teaching staff.
