The project objectives are the following: 1. Acquiring and developing digital, linguistic, relationship and classroom management competences for 20 teachers by attending professional European courses 2. increasing interest for the new technologies and their practical aspect within the teachers of our college 3. Creating and developing of a digital library containing teaching projects usable in class- multimedia content, resources, mixed lessons 4. transfer of these competences towards the rest of the teaching staff of the college by participants becoming formators and creating sessions of multiplication and exploitation of the formative experience within specific courses or optional classes.
The project addressed the need for educational digitization, as part of the European Development Plan of our college, building on the previous experience provided by the Comenius projects, the VET mobilities and also the Erasmus+ strategic partnership from 2018. This project addressed the specific part of our IDP ( Institutional Development Plan) referring to the development of digital competences for our teachers, as answers to their needs and requests from questionnaires and informal talks. Implementing TIC within the educational process will lead to a change in the role teachers play during the teaching-learning process,as they have a great responsibility in developing efficient TIC using abilities and also guiding students in order to maximize their cognitive profit. This objective seems impossible to achieve with teachers lacking digital competences , especially working with generations of natively digital students, whom teachers cannot equal when new technologies are involved. The project consequently answers the needs of teachers when it comes to acquiring new digital competences , structuring those already owned and improving their techniques of teaching and working with students.
