The objectives of the project are: 1. Improving the ICT skills of participating teachers and using lesson-based learning applications by 30% more by the end of the school year 2019-2021; 2. Improving the conflict management skills of participating teachers and increasing the average attainment by 30% by the end of the school year; 3. Improving the English language skills of teachers attending courses by 20% by the end of the school year; 4. Reducing school drop-out from rural students by at least 5% compared to the previous school year. To achieve these objectives, 12 teachers will participate in two training courses in Florence, Italy: "How to Use Tablets, Educational Applications and Social Media in the Classroom" (2 weeks, 6 teachers) and the course "Conflict Management, emotional intelligence and prevention of aggression "(one week, 6 teachers). Teachers will be from our high school, from all curricular areas, who want to improve their teaching / learning methods by using media in class and teachers who will learn about conflict management.
The project "Emotional Intelligence and Preventing Aggression, New Methods of Teaching by Incorporating Social Media in Lessons", appeared in the context which, at the end of the school year, we are recording more and more students with poor results in learning, high numbers of unmotivated absences, reduced marks to behaviouring. Many teachers do not adapt their teaching / learning methods to pupils and do not use different types of conflicts as a growth opportunity. Students would be more motivated by modern teaching methods, teachers should have the ability to shape and encourage active listening, empathy and emotional literacy of today's students and tomorrow's citizens.
