The priority of this project was to develop and implement an inclusive education program based on the skills acquired by participating teachers at the European training courses in order to facilitate the integration of preschoolers, with the following objectives: O1- Our 10 participating teachers’ acquisition of innovative strategies specific to inclusive education; O2- Identification of new strategies for creating and managing an educational platform with long-term functionality; O3- The participants’ professional development by carrying out the exchange of experience with teachers from other countries and by practicing the language skills during the mobilities and online, after their completion. We proposed that by running this project we would benefit from the European dimension of current education, from innovative methods of carrying out activities, to bring and apply in our kindergarten new techniques and methodologies for the development of the child's personality in order to integrate into an European society.
In recent years, the 17 teachers from the ”Wonderful Grove” Kindergarten, Ploiești, have presented various difficulties in addressing the undesirable behaviors of preschoolers. The data collected for each of the 8 groups of preschoolers from direct observations, questionnaires, research, evaluation reports, counseling sessions showed that: 64% of the total of 245 preschoolers have educational difficulties - with language disorders, with adaptation, understanding, relationship, learning difficulties, emotionally unstable; 21% have economic difficulties - from families with a low standard of living, single-parent families, children in foster care; 10% of the total number of enrolled children have cultural differences - with linguistic adaptation and cultural inclusion difficulties; 2% of the total number of children have health problems - children with SEND. Based on this analysis, teacher from our kindergarten identified the need to develop their competencies for the implementation of new strategies and for the creation of an inclusive environment in order to form children`s socio-emotional skills and to offer them equal educational opportunities. All this determined our teachers to apply for this project.
