The Erasmus + project had the purpose of improving the mentioned aspects, through the participation of 10 teaching staff from our high school in the 12 mobilities planned in the application file. We witnessed: 1) improving performance through the use of technology in the instructional-educational process, and implicitly increasing the percentage of teachers who use ICT tools (60%-80%), starting with the school year 2019-2020; 2) increasing the number of teachers (75-80%) who integrate innovative-creative techniques, thus ensuring a high-performance teaching act and increasing students' curiosity, starting with the school year 2021-2022; 3) promoting a non-discriminatory attitude, combating stereotypes and forming an empathetic attitude. This will increase the number of students involved in community activities and volunteer projects (50% of pupils); 4) the efficient use of information from the online environment and the increase in the number of students who possess documentation knowledge. As mentioned in the title, the objective of the "Performance and Opportunity through Erasmus+" project was the promotion of a modern, student-centered education, with innovative methods of both teaching and evaluation.
The "Performance and Opportunity through Erasmus+" project started on 01.09.2019, initially for a period of 20 months, it was extended by 16 months due to the CoVID-19 pandemic and ended on 31.08.2022. The candidacy approach was a consequence of studies carried out between September 2016 and June 2018 regarding the needs of students and teachers from "Gheorghe Sincai" National College, which revealed two aspects of the utmost importance in the context of multiple changes, with high long-term impact: - a small number of teachers, 40% of the total number, used ICT tools in the teaching-learning-evaluation process, and only 70% did insist on stimulating interest and intellectual curiosity; - the majority of students had prejudices in accepting different nationalities/mentalities. The professional development and performance commission highlighted the fact that the teachers in our college did not participate, in the last 5 years, in training courses on the use of ICT tools or on the promotion of a non-discriminatory attitude, nor did they participate in Erasmus+ projects. So, applying for training courses on these issues was the obvious step we took to improve what the studies revealed.
