Through this project we have set the following strategic objectives: 1. Developing the digital competencies of 8 teachers from 4 curricular areas for the innovation of the didactic process. 2. Optimize the key competencies of the 21 direct beneficiaries of the target group through training activities and job shadowing by exchange of experience and best practices at the European level. 3. Strengthen the European dimension of the school by increasing institutional management capacity for planning and implementing European projects, and developing innovative products and quality educational services. Implementing our first Erasmus+ KA10 project we have succeeded in creating innovative learning and contexts for more teachers and students, not only in all curricular areas but also in all areas of life, through personal and professional development counseling, the use of technology and digital applications, active-participatory methods, as well as integrative marketing tools and strategies, effective for education in general, for the development of initiative, responsibility and creativity, as well as for increasing motivation for performance, achieving new quality standards and career development in education.
We applied for this project because our high school, the "Grigore Moisil" National College, is an educational institution nationally and internationally recognized for the performance of teachers and students over time and Onești, our town, is located in an economically disadvantaged area because of the shutting down of the industrial platform and the disappearance of jobs, which has led to the reduction of the active population. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the number of orphans and single-parent students has increased more since 2019 when the project was approved for funding. Many of our pupils' parents worked abroad and are unemployed or still working abroad. The number of disadvantaged students learning in our institution has doubled in the past 2 years, reaching more than 250 students currently commuting to the city from neighboring villages. By applying for the first time in an Erasmus+KA1 project, our school wanted to learn how to adapt to the new contexts for developing and strengthening the European dimension as a key aspect of institutional management and educational leadership.
