Background

We applied this project to solve / improve 2 institutional needs that we identified following a Swot analysis, correlating the European Development Plan with PDI, respectively the long-term objectives of the institution. 1. Modernization and efficiency of the teaching act by training teachers in the use of actively participatory methods, curricular materials, creative educational documents and ICT tools, focused on applications and practice. 2. Motivating students, preventing failure in education and dropping out of school by strengthening professional relationships and streamlining learning. Teachers needed to learn new teaching methods or tools to identify more modern teaching approaches available today in European schools to provide a successful learning experience, beyond the traditional way of "teaching and discussion". Our school needs teachers capable of developing a quality curriculum beyond the prescribed content, to develop authentic, useful curriculum materials, creative educational documents that make the classes as attractive and enjoyable as possible and as effective as possible for learning. Another need is to understand the importance of emotional intelligence in modern education, how genuine and authentic approaches to teaching and assessment lead to effective learning that prevents failure in education and early school leaving. We sought to improve these needs by accessing specific courses that would respond to these needs in a timely and concrete manner. We aimed for these courses to carry out activities through which to provide and acquire the skills necessary to solve the institutional needs described above.
