Out of the desire to develop, enhance and involve our school in European collaborations, we have implemented this project to change the mentality of parents and the local community, supporting our students by streamlining the educational process to European standards. Thus, the implementation of the project aimed at satisfying the following needs; - of students - by participating in European placements aimed at improving practical and specialized language skills, increasing school results, but also the percentage of graduates employed at graduation - of parents - quality training of students correlated with the European labor market and facilitating finding a specialized service after graduation - of teachers - adapting the training process to the realities of the labor market, developing language skills for foreign languages, managerial skills, management and implementation of European projects by taking over good practices in organizing professional internships - of the school - modernization of the school in terms of teaching proces, realization of transnational strategic partnerships that bring benefits for students, teachers and the educational process.
We applied for this project because the Daneti Vocational School is part of an area with few opportunities, as most of the students' families are on the brink of subsistence, many of them drop out of school or work as unskilled workers / day laborers before finishing their studies. Coming from a rural environment, we are at a disadvantage compared to school units in urban areas, whose openness and level of absorption on the labor market is clearly higher. Also, we are of the opinion that the internships that take place in Romania at economic operators have a low level compared to an internship partner in the EU, as the lack of investments in agriculture in Romania is known at European level, and the qualification of workers in field crops do not comply with the international standards imposed by this field of activity. In the absence of the interest of the economic agents, the practical training takes place, for the most part, in the own laboratories in the schools. In order to increase young people's interest in agriculture that can be done locally, we took advantage of this opportunity, offered through Erasmus + projects, from the need to have qualified and professional graduates.
