The small and medium-sized enterprises are the basic cells of the European economy, contributing decisively to generating jobs, income, stimulating labor market integration. According to Eurostat data, the number of active SMEs per thousand inhabitants in Spain is 48.1 and in Italy 62.6. Romania is in the queue of the ranking, registering 21.3 small and medium sized businesses per one thousand inhabitants, half of the European average (the EU average of 42.7 firms). Also Bulgaria stays 2 times better. One of the main reasons is the lack of entrepreneurial education and an entrepreneurial culture, mainly among young people, which have a great margin of progress in this direction. The official data has been confirmed by local analyzes conducted by Pro Dezvoltare DACIA Association (APDD) and its partners: Ecoworld Rhodopes Association-Bulgaria; All2help—Spain; Associazione Culturale Link-Italy abd Wattrelos Association of Community Centres (ACSW) – France. Entrepreneurship represents an attractive opportunity for young people to integrate into the labor market, ensuring financial independence and independence from the employer, as well as the feeling of self-reliance. In this context, the concept of "The Entrepreneur" project was born in order to facilitate the integration into the labor market and social inclusion of young people with ages between 18 and 30 (of which 50% with reduced opportunities including NEETs) by improving their social abilities and entrepreneurial skills. Objectives: - Identify at least 10 business ideas and achieve a minimum of 10 business plans by 50 young people between the ages of 18 and 30, of which 25 with reduced opportunities, in line with their strengths, hobbies and skills (until 02.09.2019); - Increasing motivation and identifying how to translate the 10 business ideas into practice for the 50 young participants (until 02.09.2019); - Improving social skills and raising self-confidence by participating in an intercultural environment with young people from 5 European countries, in all the activities of the project (until 30.11.2019). The project thus meets the Erasmus + priorities of promoting social inclusion and facilitating labor market integration of young people, mainly those with fewer opportunities, including young NEETs at risk of marginalization.
