Objectives

The specific objective of this youth exchange is to raise awareness about volunteering and develop the civic spirit of the participants by helping organizations, participants involved and not only (we rely on the fact that they will make an effective dissemination of aptitudes and the competences accumulated during the project activities) to find different ways to contribute to the development of the communities to which they belong. After participating in this youth exchange, participants will be able to: - be ready to challenge themselves, but also the others with whom they come into contact, to be active citizens; - apply participatory, effective and appropriate methods to other young people; - gain a higher level of knowledge and tolerance for other cultures; - be much more aware of the fact that besides belonging to a more restricted community, of the city and the country they live in, they also belong to another much larger and more diverse community, Europe; - conceive and complete plans and actions and develop social events in their community; - participate as promoters of social values in their communities; - encourage a pro-active attitude, tolerance and solidarity in a group; - cooperate at European level to promote civic and social engagement; - Correlate learning objectives with Youthpass competences; - either responsible for the human and natural environment of the community in which they live, As far as participants with low opportunities are concerned, we want them, along with other abilities, to develop their sense of self-esteem and confidence in their own forces. Another important aspect is the improvement of personal skills and the development of the organization that the volunteer is part of. We would like, as we mentioned, that some of the activities to focus on sharing the experience of partners and promoting the advantage of being an active citizen in the community. We will work in small, mixed groups, and then the results of the work will be discussed together. Another activity we want to implement is to guide participants to create and develop projects designed to solve or reduce the problems of their communities. Also, the whole group will work on preparing the final flash mob. We hope that through this activity, besides attracting local youth to active citizenship, we will develop the team spirit of the participants. The expected outcome of implementing the project is to promote the fact that citizens can actively and positively influence the communities they come from and also the development the personal abilities of the participants in terms of being able to become useful citizens of society, expressing themselves with public confidence and self-presentation.
