Objectives

This project is an answer to the high lack of active participation amongst young people and the absence of knowledge regarding social rights and civic spirit, democracy and human rights which constitute an obstacle on participation in their community’s civic life and it came out from the urge of all partner organizations to tackle the theme of activism, by raising participants’ awareness for the importance of their active participation at all levels through non-formal education methods, in order to raise young people awareness on social rights and civic spirit, democracy and human rights. The goal of our project is to support young participants to become actively involved citizens in society by providing them with the necessary information sources and inspiring their democratic spirit. To achieve this, the objectives of the project are: 1. To develop competencies and skills of 24 participants, of whom 30% will be young people with fewer opportunities, about the understanding, in the historical and contemporary context, of the concept of citizenship and the practice of active citizenship at local, national and EU level; 2. 60% of all participants will become ambassadors of the project and will promote and implement the project objectives in their communities; 3. 100% of the total number of participants will be aware of fundamental rights, European identity and EU principles; 4. 1/3 of all participants will gain competencies and skills required for developing non-formal and gaming methods to facilitate understanding of active citizenship among young people; 5. 40% of participants will develop tolerance, solidarity and trust towards other participants by sharing their opinions and personal experiences in active participation.
