From our experience in working with young people, we discovered two things, on the one hand, the access to photography - all the participants make in projects, either with mobile phones or with professional devices, photographs that illustrate places, friendships, experiences, often used as a way of communication on social networks. Moreover, educational systems in Europe marginalize or even ignore the plastic, musical, photographic arts, etc. in the process of learning, although many studies have demonstrated the importance of the arts in the intellectual evolution of young people. On the other hand, the issue of social exclusion at the European level still reveals the need for action and involvement in diminishing it despite the European Union's sustained efforts, the statistics being worrying. Thus, we want, through this project, to contribute to reducing the level of social exclusion, stereotyping and discrimination, by photography and promoting European values. This is how we set the following purpose and goals: Purpose: Promoting social inclusion and European Values through photography OB1. Understanding and assuming European values by 40 young people over a 10-day period. OB2. Developing photographic skills for 40 young people over a 10-day period. OB3. To raise the awareness of the effects of social exclusion for 40 young people and 150 people in Curtea de Arges for a period of one month. OB4. Supporting a photographic exhibition with a social impact at the Municipal Museum in Curtea de Arges for a period of one month. The project supports the achievement of the objectives of the Erasmus + program by improving the skills and competencies of young people, including disadvantaged young people, promoting equity and social inclusion, and facilitating access for disadvantaged and low-profile participants to transnational mobility.
