Objectives

During a previous youth strategic partnership cooperation, which was a sort of first needs assessment of this initiative, project partners have expired a lot of confusion among youngsters, regarding the structure and operation of labour market both on national and European levels. It came out that there was a huge gap between educational studies and the world of work; youngsters didn't have knowledge about the feature of the present job market, they couldn't define the most common job types; difficulties of finding a job was a shocking surprise for them; not mentioning of creating job possibilities which match with their personalities. There was also an urgent need of even the personal identifications of youngsters: before establishing self-employment status and small businesses, they should first identify their own personal characters and self-image, they should strenghten their self-consciousness and self-esteem, in order to find out those activities which make them satisfied and successfull. Since the previous KA2 project only walked around the topic and measured missing competences, another (the second) needs assessment showed youngsters' needs of a practical, constructive help. Realizing missing competences of youngsters proved in the first assessment, and based on the second assessment where youngsters expressed their needs, also defining the lack of youth services and forums which could help them, the partnership intends to support the gap and achieve the following aims and objectives with the project: - Introducing the feature of the present job market (national and international levels), the most common job types, and collecting the difficulties of finding a job - with the help of invited experts. - Raising consiousness about participants' valuable attitudes, skills, which can be used in creating personal futures. Providing self-identification and self-management techniques with specific nonformal training elements, which help to recognize own personal values, strength, advanced skills and competences for a more successfull orientation in the labour market. - Raising awareness on importance of transversal skills development as a lifelong learning process. - Providing workshops of writing a resumeé, and modelling basic attitudes on a job-interview. - Focusing on creating own self-employment status or small businesses, it generates group worskhops to simulate how to build a cooperation with mates on national and European levels. - Forming the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation, encouriging to plan start-up ideas and modelling how to work with basic elements and roles of a small enterprise. . - Presenting the structure of building future plans with crossing borders - realizing the difference on a more global thinking. It is a basic requirement of the labour market today to think on a more globalized European level. To become a qualified professional in any sort of jobs; it is fundamental to travel, to exchange ideas, to undertake job-shadowing or assistantships, to collect foreign practices and work experiences. Starting to prepare for the globalized labour market only makes sense in a transnational environment. Main objectives on transnational level: - Improve the level of key competences and skills, with particular regard to their relevance for the labour market and their contribution to a cohesive society - Converging to a transnational-global labour market with international cooperation and informal trainings - Strengthening the sense of European consciousness and activity. The project is designed to involve youth participants actively into the process of planning, preparations, implementation, follow-up and dissemination activities.
