Project summary

"The past - an evolved gateway to the future" Today, when information technology begins to capture all areas of activity, and young people access the Internet, no longer being involved in knowing the real treasures of our peoples, we consider our obligation and the next generation to keep alive the multimilenary dowry. It is a responsibility for all the citizens of Europe Cultural heritage, both material and immaterial, is ours, is our common wealth - our inheritance from the past, generations and generations of Europeans have contributed to our heritage and must be preserved for those who will come after us .It is an irreplaceable knowledge store and a valuable resource for growth, employment and social cohesion. It enriches the individual lives of hundreds of millions of people is a source of inspiration for thinkers and artists and for the cultural and creative industries.Pupils dropping out of school have reduced livelihoods or have their parents abroad. In order for these children to continue their studies, to improve their frequency, we intend to attract them, to involve them in traditional representative activities of our area (crafts, customs, traditions, oral-rituals at important events in life man, dances etc.). Being trained in workshops, students will develop their confidence in their own strengths, developing the skills they will need in their professional development and social insertion. They will be able to pursue a professional school in the field to open their own business, thus developing local economic power, creating jobs, thus avoiding the depopulation of the area through migration. These children are the ones who usually leave unmotivated being taken by their parents to household chores or in the autumn or spring campaigns in agriculture. For these children, trust and self-esteem are low, but by giving them a task at these practical classes, they are easy to finish and are proud of what they know. Even though their skills segment is narrow, they have inspired us in choosing the theme and implementing this project. Everyone deserves a chance - we can give it for their future, which can be a successful one by exploiting the creativity of our ancestors - the cultural heritage. The overall objective of our project is- creating cultural connections by promoting spirituality, identity and cultural heritage among students, which would generate the development of intercultural, social, equal opportunities, inclusion in compulsory education of children at risk of abandonment or with a high rate of absenteeism. Objectives

We wanted to have accumulated experience which would allow us to know tools to combat absenteeism, to reduce the rate of this phenomenon, to have the ability to collaborate to share our experience and culture with other partners, to attract to school activities and extracurricular students with low economic potential who do not see the education provided by the school as an opportunity for the future. so that we can have educated students, with a low absenteeism rate from year to year, with a love for culture, creating a sense of belonging to a group, of non-abandonment and usefulness. By implementing the project, we wanted our students to develop their language skills, to use various work tools, to value what they inherited as customs and traditions, and to get to know through intercultural exchange other customs and other ancestral occupations on who could not find them otherwise. We also wanted the students of our schools to become good European citizens, who promote cultural values, empathy, social inclusion, a development of the European dimension of our institutions, which will bring added value to students, teachers, and the entire local community.

Background

We are a rural school, the local society is far from urban civilization and decent living conditions, the children of this community are often stopped from school for agricultural work or to earn a penny and their parents who are always busy or gone abroad did not offer them support necessary for a happy childhood. Thus, absences were recorded and the parents did not reciprocate the school's calls. I identified partners who did not have these problems at all, but who faced absenteeism, school dropout. Together with our partners, we thought that students could be attracted to school and involved in workshop or circle-type activities where they would feel appreciated, useful, responsible, to which they would come with pleasure, feeling protected by the strength of the school community. Too often and too young, these students use the Internet without control and without being supervised. In the extracurricular activities, I noticed that the students are no longer attracted to the knowledge of the real treasures of the ancestors. That is why we considered that it is our obligation and that of the future generation to keep alive the multi-millenary legacy of the culture of our peoples. and cooperation.
