The project tackled the lack of parental involvement among low skilled parents from the partner organizations through provision of adult educators training and learning activities in parental education, communication, soft skills and family literacy fields. The partners aimed to increase the learning and training opportunities for our staff to develop work competences in sustaining and motivating low skilled parents in meaningful participation in their children education and within the community as resulted from the difficulties encountered by the staff from the partner institutions to engage in effective dialogue, to motivate low skilled parents and foster their involvement in activities. The project offered our staff the opportunity to participate in international activities so they develop knowledge about effective communication with low skilled parents, to investigate various parental involvement models (new ones and those applied in the partners countries that were effective through exchange of experiences) and to explore the concepts of soft skills and family literacy as a tool for effective and sustainable model of parental involvement through the creation of a family literacy program and its implementation our communities.
