First of all we wanted to develop and improve students` competencies by connecting formal and informal education. After completing mobility and getting Europass certificate students would enrich their biographies and be more competitive at Labor Market. All this would contribute to their more successful employment. We wanted to increase our school`s attractiveness. Our aim was to familiarize students with the functioning of environmental protection sector, with taken environmental protection measures and also recycling process ( how to collect, dispose and use waste ) in one of the EU countries which are much more advanced than Serbia. Intercultural learning as the ultimate goal should contribute to students` accepting difference of cultures, languages, way of living, different opinions and working modes. All this should contribute to students` development of tolerance and self-confidence. The goal was also to specialize students` communication in English language.
There are many reasons we applied for this project, most of all for teaching quality improvement both theoretical and practical. We wanted to strengthen the connection between formal and informal education and in that way to increase professional training of students. Thus we found that we would better prepare students for the world of work. On the other hand we found that we would improve both professional development of the staff and their competencies by this project`s implementation. We believed we would increase attractiveness of our school by the international dimension of organization in the field of education. Considering that our project`s topic is closely related to recycling and environmental protection, we had intention to spread awareness of environmental protection benefits to mobility students and later by dissemination of the project to other students, that inadequate waste disposal and management undermines the health and quality of people`s lives globally, so as to be aware of benefit and importance of different raw materials recycling.
