Objectives

Nösnäsgymnasiet has a conscious strategy to develop and drive the school forward by making it attractive to teachers and students. Getting an international perspective is important for implementing new ideas, and methods and being competitive. For the job shadowing in England, the units involved have identified needs and goals that are expected to be learned in order to change well back home. With this, they want to stimulate the work with diversity and inclusion at Teknikcollege. They want to find new ways to work with digital tools in teaching. In addition, find inspiring examples of projects in connection with companies and the surrounding society. Another objective is to develop the learning of chemistry and mathematics to increase students' interest and motivation and then we are interested in studying how others do so that we can adopt and implement them in our own school. Working with IT tools is an important part of the school in Stenungsund and therefore part of this project is also to learn from other countries how they use IT in teaching, which ultimately both further trains and stimulates the staff. The IT educators who participate are also responsible for providing further training at home.

Background

A step in broadening competencies and developing further within international operations. To get teachers interested and understand the importance of international cooperation for the future. This will be implemented through job shadowing, where the teachers can follow their colleagues in various subjects, both character subjects and core subjects, and can take part in their pedagogy, curricula and methodology. The focus was mainly on subjects such as mathematics, technology and science. This is because Nösnäsgymnasiet wants to invest in getting more girls, but also to get newly arrived students to apply for the science and technology programs. In the selected countries, we wanted to see how they work to include all students in teaching. At the same time to study how the teachers at the schools work with the high-achieving students in a widened international perspective and how to challenge those students. The courses will give the teachers the opportunity to meet colleagues from Europe and the opportunity to create contacts and collaboration. The focus of the studies is digitization to give students adequate competence, knowledge and skills about various digital tools, and the use of digital learning resources.
