From the analyses carried out in the groups, and the factors of success motivation emerged as a common factor of success regardless of subject. Therefore we wanted to develop the teaching in a motivational direction. Each group of teachers found suitable courses or partners to job shadow in order to improve motivational teaching and consequently improve the results of the pupils.
Our school participated in a project together with National Board of Education and Göteborg University in order to develop systematic quality work. The teachers were divided into nine different groups teaching nine different subjects or groups of subjects. Each group carried out an inventory of the needs for the specific subjects in order to increase the skills of the teachers and improve the results of the pupils. The analysis showed factors of successful teaching and in order to improve the skills of our staff we applied for funding to be able to participate in various courses, conferences and job shadowing activities. Our aim was to let two teachers from each group participate each year, 36 in total during the project time and thus reach our goal of systematic quality work.
