For our students, through Erasmus+ we want to be able to offer our students an insight into how aquaculture is conducted and in this way show that there is a job market outside of Sweden. We also want students from other vocational programs to take with them experiences from both the labor market and culture for future careers. For the staff, the goal is to develop new forms of work through job shadowing in other countries
The aquaculture industry is growing in Sweden, but it is mainly in Norway but also in Åland that have the major players. In order for our students to do APL in companies with the latest technology and working methods, we see it as crucial that our students do their internship at companies that are leaders in their industries. Internships through Erasmus+ open opportunities to enter a job market in aquaculture throughout Europe. We also want to be able to offer our staff the opportunity for job shadowing to gain an insight into how education is conducted in other countries and to come into contact with actors leading in their industry.
