Objectives

Through the cooperation with our partner schools we wanted to be able to give our students the possibility to connect with both peers and with companies within their future field of work. We wanted to give the students the possibility to gain work experience at companies in other European countries to get insight and understanding of the similarities and differences within the same field of work in different countries. We also wanted the students to be able to see the differences in how the school system works and the difference in how vocational educations are structured in different countries. Many of our students have low confidence when it comes to language skills and they do not believe in their own ability to communicate in English. Given the opportunity to send students on Erasmus+ exchanges we wanted to give the students the possibility to gain confidence and insight to how far their language skills can take them. To spread knowledge and awareness about historically important events we wanted to give students the possibility to take part of the history in other European. We had previously learned that the knowledge and insight that students gain about for example how The Second World War and the holocaust affected the society and the world is something that they spread to classmates, friends and family. We believe this is important so that history does not fall into oblivion.

Background

When our previous Erasmus+ project ended we were saw a number of advantages and possibilities for the students that had been a part of that project. We had good contacts and cooperation with our partner schools and companies that we had come in contact with. All these collaborations were something we wanted to keep working on and develop. That is why we decided to apply for a new project and open up for the possibilities for more students to be part of Erasmus exchanges. We wanted to give our students the possibility to do parts of their workplace-based learning in other European countries in part to experience the different type of working conditions within the filed of work that the students are studying and in part to give the students the possibility of personal development. We wanted to give the students experiences and insight about historically important events that has formed society and the world to what it is today.
