International experience is important for development of school and person. Staff training abroad contributes to new energy for the school's teachers and they find new teaching methods which is good for the students. It is a great opportunity for a students to have 2-3 weeks of workbased training in another country. Both for their professional and personal development. The students realize that they can manage on their own in another country with the help of the English language. They have tried new methods and techniques in their profession. New contacts and networks are created for both students and staff. The project is important for Anders Ljungtedts gymnasium and our vocational education. Internationalization and the European perspective become a part of students' everyday lives. Students meet teachers who have met colleagues around Europe and developed their teaching methods with international input. Students also have the opportunity to widen their education with a few weeks of workbased training abroad. This increase the status of vocational education in Sweden. The European labor market is feeling closer for our students and the employability of our students is increasing.
Anders Ljungstedts gymnasium (ALG in the report) has a long experience of various international projects and knows how important they are for development of students and staff. In 2015, the school was awarded a Charter within Erasmus + VET. It gave our school the opportunity to offer our students workbased training in another country and our staff job shadowing in another country. Through this, students and staff have gained new knowledge that has developed them in their profession. This is in line with the internationalization strategy adopted by the school. It also contributes to our school´s two main goals: employability and a vocational degree. An Erasmus+ VET project offers great opportunities. The school's staff is evolving in an international context and the students get an extra dimension to their education by workbased training in another country. The curriculum for upper secondary school, GY11, states that internationalization is important. The school's mission is to promote educational exchanges with foreign countries and internships in other countries. Countries in Europe face the same problem and together schools, their staff and students can share experiences and develop.
