The economic crisis and the conflicts spread in the Middle East and western Africa in early 2017, caused an increase without precedent in the migration flows toward the EU, modifying or destabilizing the socio-cultural order. The more and more the newcomers are easy victims of nationalist populism that abuses the migration flows nourishing campaign of popular hate against the migrants watching at the phenomena in a simplistic way and drawing the EU to a phase of intolerance and closing. The proposal project is meant to be an exchange of good practices aimed at creating a solidarity international network where spreading ideas and practices of promotion of intercultural dialogue. Worldwide growing violence, multiple conflicts, wars and refugee crisis as a direct consequence – those are just few big issues humanity is facing in the 21st century. Together with different partners from EU and outside we find extremely important need of giving intercultural education to young people as they are the persons who will shape the future of our common Europe. Thus we would like to provide youngsters with a tool for a social change. We chose this topic because the society where we live is very multicultural and we feel the need of providing some education on this topic to youngsters in order to help them to deal with their complex and diverse backgrounds and to confront the things that can appear contradictory. Many negative attitudes towards cultures, lifestyle societies exist which are different from ours that’s why we would like to use intercultural learning in order to encourage young people to get acquainted with other cultures, to erase the distance between cultures and to understand the realities different to our own. The immigration problem as well as the acceptance and integration will represent the main theme of the project. The mentioned theme has keep the status of actual problem in the last years, especially after the immigration phenomenon has increased and becomes more and more acute if we consider the fact that Europe is both a continent that provides immigration and that is welcoming immigrants. It is thus vital that the Europeans to respond to challenges in an efficient way. Unfortunately things do not happen exactly this way. It is easy to notice an increase in intolerance, the support for the xenophobic and populist parties, discrimination, presence of illegal immigrants that have basically no rights, parallel communities that hardly interact with the societies around them, Islamic extremism, the lost of the democratic freedoms, attempts to forbid the freedom of speech in the so called religion interest. Behind this stands a rooted insecurity, the phenomenon of a mass immigration as it is experienced or perceived, distorted images and unfortunate stereotypes about minorities in the mass-media and public opinion and also the lack of leaders to inspire trust and to articulate a clear view of the future destiny of Europe. The purpose of this project is to encourage participants to express their opinion on the topic of refugees’ crisis and to give their point of view on how each of us can be helpful to facilitate the integration of asylum seekers in our society. In addition the project will allow youth workers to get a better understanding of refugees’ situation and about the differents actors involved in this topic on local, regional and international level The need to organize Erasmus + project about this topic is caused due to the fact that migration related challenges are the driving policy issues in the contemporary Europe and as all the researches and studies show without active and positive input of civic society it can be developed dramatically. It is a fact that reasons for displacement can be diverse - poverty, social or political exclusion, war ,quest for a better life, studying or work abroad, which are the logical and historical steps of human journey. The project aims to bring together youth in order to raise awareness about the needs and challenges of migration, to develop communication techniques to promote inclusion, to improve confidence and self-empowerment, and to learn methods of working together in various situations. Non-formal tools and activities will be used, as well as outdoor activities. These methods will develop some of the basic skills which participants need in order to ensure equity, solidarity, inclusion, social and civic implication, and may help them strengthen the links between the youth field and the process of inclusion. The project seeks to address the various issues of young migrants faced during the integration process. So is time to stop the words and start the actions in order to deal with a European problem, the refugee and migration crisis. Only by youth initiatives and activities we can face this problem and create the basis for including immigrants and refugees in the European family.
