Objectives

The Contact Making Event “Natural Ideas - Inspiration and Project Development through Observing Nature” will reach achievements connected to the four main elements of the project: -Experiencing nature education and awareness. -Research and sharing of local case studies in youth work based on existing needs and issues. -Quality project development for our local contexts. -Planning and implementing small scale, local follow-up activities. By offering an online preparatory course and implementing the contact-making event we achieve: -Direct health benefits and an increased sense of wellbeing for all participating youth workers and project staff. -Reinforcing a direct connection with the natural world and, indirectly, a focus on working in a natural setting by the partners. -Integrating our experiences, observations, and inspirations in designing our work, changing our work environment leading to long-lasting benefits connected to the health of youth workers, youth and the quality of the implemented youthwork. -Sharing of local case studies, practices, stimulating ‘out of the box’ solutions. -Programme design for the long-term development of regenerative activities in the local communities increasing the amount of time spent in the natural world or with elements coming from the natural world in follow-up activities long-term benefits through a transformative process of changing beliefs about the natural world and changing daily habits in youth work offering youth workers, project staff and their target groups a set of ideals, values, habits and beliefs as a way of regeneration and reradicalisation. The CME is a pilot project strengthening youth workers’ experiences in the natural world and their capacities in planning, implementing and evaluating programmes shifting the attention of their local youth work towards encounters with the natural world. The project strengthens a newly established partnership, the quality, and design of educational projects and healthy work environments within non-formal education. More in detail, the objectives of the Contact Making Event are: -to raise awareness on the complexity and value of the natural world, how to benefit from it and sustain it, -to empower youth workers to experience and study nature, moving towards reconnection and the creation of safe, healthy learning spaces, -to acquire competences to develop high-quality educational projects and products suitable for local, natural learning environments, -to build up and strengthen transnational partnerships with a focus on the local and long-term impact of youth work based on integrating experiences from the natural world.
