The project Baltic Triangle is a five months project aimed at young people in rural areas in Europe. The three countries Germany, Estonia and Sweden, connected by the Baltic Sea, with the participating municipalities Schönberg, Haljala and Älvdalen, have started a fruitful partnership focusing on connecting young people with the European dimension as a beacon. The work of the project is based on three pillars; to raise the level of knowledge of the participants regarding language, European union, international exchanges and to create intercultural awareness, to inspire the yuong participants to entrepreneurship in order for them to be better equipped for future entry into the labor market in their own country or in another European country and last but not least the project will contribute to strengthen the participants self-esteem, enable the young participants to grow as individuals and for them to gain a broader global perspective. The objectives of the project are clearly linked to the programme's objectives, especially for the individuals who grow knowledge and experience, which increase their employability for the future and which have a broader global perspective and a greater understanding of other cultures and countries. The goals of the organizations are also linked to the EU's goals and priorities, as each partner's organization improves the international dimension of work with young people and that staff working with young people is strengthened and raises their competence through participation in an Erasmus project.
